2016 Educational Grant Awards

The AUVSI Pathfinder Chapter in Huntsville, Alabama, is on a mission to connect today’s youth to the discovery and exploration in the fields of robotics and unmanned systems. Since 2010, the AUVSI Pathfinder Chapter has donated over half a million dollars to robotics programs in support of schools and organizations in North Alabama. On November 10, 2016 the AUVSI Pathfinder Chapter awarded more than $22,000 to robotics programs at 30 local schools and organizations. These grant awards were made possible through donations from corporate sponsors and from the proceeds of the annual Pathfinder Chapter Symposium.  “The Pathfinder Chapter is proud to support our local youth in learning the skills necessary for success with robotics and to experience these skills in action in local and national competitions,” said Sergio “Chuy” Menchaca, AUVSI Pathfinder Chapter President.
